J. Patrick Laux is a licensed South Carolina attorney with a diverse skill set. Complementing his license to practice law is 35 years of business management and company ownership experience in the technical and medical industries. Pat founded his first company in the satellite communications industry in 1983. In 1987, after growing the company to a multi-million-dollar enterprise, he sold the company to a large telecommunications group.

He then founded and grew a company that manufactured computing products for heavy industrial applications, then sold years later to an offshore technology company in 2000. After relocating from Ohio to Florida he founded a medical records company and grew it to 350 employees doing business in 46 states. 10 years later that successful company was sold to a private equity firm, and he attempted to enjoy retirement for a few years. After discovering that neither golf nor fishing was all that much fun, he satisfied his desire to continue to learn by going to law school and becoming a practicing attorney.

In 2019 Pat was licensed in South Carolina, relocated to the State, and began practicing family law and civil litigation. Pat was raised in the South in the State of Alabama. He majored in business at the University of Tennessee, earned an MBA in Finance from Xavier University, and a JD from Arizona Summit Law School.

Having decades of real-world experience managing companies and people, he brings to bear in the legal profession extensive experience in matters that require advanced financial and business knowledge.
